Kalonzo issues 7-day ultimatum to President Ruto over abductions
While speaking in Kakamega, the leaders also called for the unconditional release of protestors arrested on Monday, calling on the United Nations to suspend enjoining Kenya as a member of its human rights council, over what they say is the government's outright violation of human rights in recent months.
"Listen to the cry of parents of these young kids. Return these children to their parents and if by next week you have not, you are going to see the mother of all demonstrations. Tuko tayari kurudi maandamano. Mumias mko tayari?" Wamalwa posed.
"Tunaahidi watu wa Kakamega watu wa Mumias East na Kenya nzima kwamba sisi hatutarudi nyuma ili tulete ukombozi wa Kenya hii in the peoples year 2025," Kalonzo reiterated.
The duo opined that the UN should suspend Kenya due to the violation of human rights in the past year.
"The rest of the members should suspend kenya. Waambie hakuna haja hatutakubali mwakilishi wa kenya aketi kwa hii kamati kabla ya Watoto hawa ambao wametekwa nyara kuachiliwa huru. Because it is doing the opposite na ni aibu kubwa kwa kenya," Kalonzo noted.
"Tunampa makataa ya siku saba. Kama tutafika mahakamani jumatano ijayo na yeye na IG kanja hawajawachilia vijana hao sita bill mwangi na kina kibett,ataona cha mtema kuni," Wamalwa added.
