Java House has opened its 98th branch in Kisii Town, bringing the popular restaurant chain closer to its 100-branch target.

The new outlet, located at TotalEnergies Kisii, is part of the company’s expansion strategy tied to its 25th anniversary. It is the first Java House branch in Kisii County.

“We are glad to open our first branch in Kisii County, home to a growing and discerning population,” said CEO Priscilla Gathungu.

“Kisii is also a strategic transit hub for people travelling across the Western and Nyanza regions. The warm reception we’ve received shows that Java is well positioned to become part of the community—not just as a dining space, but also as a source of local employment,” she added.

Kisii County CECM for Trade Cyrus Nyabicha, welcomed the move and called on other businesses to invest in the area.

“The presence of leading brands like Java House is a testament to our efforts to create a business-friendly environment. We welcome investors ready to grow with us and uplift our communities,” said Nyabicha.

Java House is also involved in social initiatives, including a school meals programme and support for local agriculture and the arts through the Java Foundation.
