How to check your 2021 KCSE exam results

Candidates who sat for the 2021 Kenya
Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations now have an easier way
of accessing their results.
Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George
Magoha soon after announcing the results on Saturday, outlined the
process through which, with just a touch of your mobile device or
computer, you can retrieve your results.
Prof. Magoha said that the ministry, through
the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC), provides two major ways of access;
through the KNEC portal and through mobile SMS.
For parents, guardians or students, one is
required to ensure they have the index number of the student.
For those using SMS, the cost for one message
is Ksh.25.
As for the KNEC Website;

Students should log in to the
portal

Click on the KCSE tab and select
the YEAR they sat for the exams
3.
Key in their INDEX number
Similarly, the CS said that alternatively,
candidates can collect their results from their respective examination centres
physically or visit the county education offices.
He cautioned of web traffic on the portal as
a lot of users would be on the site hours after the release of the
results, hence urging users to be patient.
The CS revealed that 831,015 candidates sat
for the exam in 2021.
