Imagine this, a house whose pillars and foundation are men and women who were buried or rather cemented alive in the name of giving the house a solid or strong base. As creepy as it may sound, the people of Gazi in Diani, Kwale County have turned the pain and tears reportedly brought by Sheik Mbaruk Bin Rashid in 1895 to joy as they hold meetings and even earn money through tourism in a house where slaves were beheaded or smoked to death in paper-filled holes.
