Happy birthday, my love: First Lady Rachel Ruto celebrates President Ruto's 58th birthday

First Lady Rachel Ruto penned a heartfelt message to her husband, President William Ruto, on Saturday as he celebrated his 58th birthday. 

In a statement on X, the First Lady expressed her gratitude to President Ruto for his devotion as a husband and a father, highlighting that his birthday coincides with their wedding anniversary.

"Happy birthday, my dear Bill!As we celebrate your special day and our wedding anniversary, I am grateful to God for the special gift you are to us. Your devotion as a husband and father is an incredible blessing to us all," she said.

The First Lady also prayed for the President, wishing him happiness, good health, and success in his endeavours as head of state.

“May this year bring you joy, health, and the fulfilment of your dreams for our beautiful country! Happy birthday, my love!”

President Ruto and the First Lady got married on December 21, 1991. They've been blessed with seven children: Nick, June, Charlene, Stephanie, Cullie, George and Nadia. 

In the past, Ruto has openly spoken about how he met Rachel, noting that he met his future wife at a church where they both attended.
