Grace Nyambura Njeri arrested after man stabbed to death in Kiambu

Grace Nyambura Njeri was arrested after a 35-year-old man was stabbed to death on Sunday night.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said Njeri is the prime suspect in the murder of Peter Maina Kasera.

Kasera is suspected to have stabbed the man several times on his chest following a scuffle outside his rented house at Kwambuzi-Kiboko, within Tigoni, Kiambu County.

“The scene has since been processed by CSI detectives based at DCI Headquarters, with search for the murder weapon ongoing,” the DCI said on Twitter.

Meanwhile, detectives are also investigating another death within the same locality of Tigoni, Muna area.

This after the body of 32-year-old Duncan Kavucho Lugulu was found dead by the roadside “15 minutes before the earlier incident was reported.”

According to the DCI, the body had “deep, fresh wounds on the forehead and bruises on his chest.”

Detectives are said to be investigating the case to establish the circumstances surrounding Lugulu’s death and the possibility of its relation to the first incident.

“Should you have any information that may assist us in the investigation of this case, talk to us anonymously through 0800 722 203,” the DCI said.
