The 2024 Ghana Trade Week is officially taking place in Kenya, featuring a six-day program filled with exciting activities.

Kenyans can experience the best of Ghanaian culture and products through mall activations at Adlife Plaza in Kilimani, Sarit Centre, and Nyali Mall.

Samuel Dentu, Deputy CEO of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), who is leading the cultural and aesthetic experience, notes that Kenyans from all walks of life have embraced the rich Ghanaian culture and high-quality products.

"As GEPA, we are delighted to have implemented various projects, including the Youth in Export Programme and supply capacity enhancement, where we provide free coconut seedlings and pineapple suckers to farmers across Ghana. This initiative aims to boost production of these key agricultural products for processing and export to international markets," he said.

"We have also supported Ghanaian exporters at several African and international market fairs. Therefore, we are thrilled to be in Kenya promoting the Ghana Trade House, with the goal of bringing the Ghanaian market closer to East Africa in the spirit and letter of the AfCFTA."

The Ghana Trade House in Kenya, established at Sameer Business Park in May 2023, is also celebrating its first anniversary.

A series of events are planned for the celebrations, including mall activations that have already taken place at Sarit Mall in Nairobi and Nyali Mall in Mombasa. Two activations are currently ongoing at Adlife Mall in Kilimani, with positive feedback from Kenyans regarding the quality and diversity of the products.

Other events include a Ghanaian Food Bazaar at Sarit Mall on Friday, October 11, 2024, and a client dinner on Saturday, October 12, 2024, leading up to the grand finale on Monday, October 14, 2024.

The highlight of the anniversary celebration will be a durbar at Sameer Business Park, where the trade house is located.

High-level officials from the Kenyan government and the private sector will attend the event to strengthen ties with their Ghanaian counterparts. This occasion will also serve to showcase the trade house to Kenyans once again.
