Former Kimilili MP Suleiman Murunga dies

Former Kimilili MP Suleiman Murunga is dead.

Murunga died on Wednesday night at a Nairobi hospital where he was receiving treatment.

He served as Kimilili MP between 2013 and 2017 under the Ford Kenya party.

Murunga’s successor, Didmus Barasa, mourned the former legislator through a social media post on Wednesday night.

“With a heavy heart, I wish to give my sincere condolences to my people of Kimilili Constituency for the loss of our former Member of Parliament Hon. Suleiman Kasuti Murunga. My deepest sympathies are with his family and friends. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” Barasa wrote.

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko said: “Rest in peace, my good Hon. Suleiman Murunga, former MP Kimilili, and proprietor of our old popular club Simmers.”
