Five tourists of Indian origin have been confirmed dead while scores were injured in a grisly road accident that occurred at Gichaka village along the Nakuru-Ol-Joro Ork road in Nyandarua County.

It is reported that the tourists were travelling from Masaai Mara to Nyahururu in a minibus when its brakes failed while descending a hill towards the Ol-Joro Orok area.

The bus plunged into a ditch as the driver, who is among those who survived the accident, was negotiating a corner near Uhuru Comprehensive school at Gichaka area.
