Parties in the Fidel Castro Odinga multimillion-shilling estate case pitting his widow Lwam Bekele against Ida Odinga and Winnie Odinga are seeking to have the case settled out of court.

Ms. Bekele, through lawyer Rodger Sagana, on Wednesday told the court that the parties need more time to see whether they will come to an agreement regarding the late Fidel’s estate.

An application by John Swaka for twins allegedly fathered by the deceased to be enjoined in the case was also granted.

Justice Aggrey Muchelule hence gave the parties two weeks and directed that the matter be mentioned on November 27, 2019.

Justice Muchelule had on October 16 ordered a DNA test to ascertain the paternity of the twins.

This was after Ms. Bekele denied the pair saying her son is the only heir to the deceased’s estate.

41-year-old Fidel Odinga was found dead after a night out with friends four years ago.

The Daily Nation said Ms. Bekele found him unresponsive in the morning inside a spare bedroom at their Karen home.
