Fake geometrical sets worth Ksh.500K confiscated in Kisumu

According to the authority, the market is flooded with fake versions of the set, causing unaware customers to purchase non-standard goods.

Tom Nyagare, CEO and Founder of Thinkly, which collaborated on the raids, says counterfeits are common in major cities such as Nakuru, Nairobi, and Mombasa.

Nyagare says they are sending a warning to suppliers, particularly bookshops, to ensure that they only sell originals.

According to Nyagare, selling such products is a legal offence, and those found culpable face fines or imprisonment.

Speaking in Kisumu, he says the operation will coincide with World Intellectual Property Day, which is held every April 26th.
