Embu: Body of 54-year-old man found by the roadside

Embu East Sub County Police Commander, Anthony Maina, has confirmed the commencement of investigations into the tragic death of a 54-year-old man. 

The man’s lifeless body was discovered on Wednesday morning along Ndamunge-Kanja Road in Ndamunge Village, Embu County.

Speaking about the incident, Maina said he received information about the body from the area assistant chief and they acted promptly to begin investigations in trying to uncover the circumstances leading to the death of the man

Maina said preliminary observations indicate injuries on the head of the deceased thus raising more concerns.

With the investigations ongoing, Maina has called on the local community to come forward with any information or leads they might have regarding the incident.

He emphasized the importance of cooperation from the residents in assisting the police to find answers into the questions surrounding the man's death.

Earlier on the family of the deceased had called for thorough and quick investigations in revealing their kins cause of death before his body was taken to Gakwegori funeral home awaiting an autopsy.
