Eastleigh murder suspect says he was hired, confesses to brutally killing Lang'ata woman

Fresh details have emerged suggesting that Eastleigh murder suspect Hashim Dagane Muhumed was a hired assassin who was tasked to kill three women.

As per investigations, the suspect claims he, among other persons at large, was involved in the killing of Warris Daud, her child, and her niece.

Hashim, however, confessed to having single-handedly killed Deka Abdinoor and chopped her body parts before disposing them off at Lang'ata Cemetery.

Hashim took detectives on a fact-finding mission on Friday to trace missing body parts belonging to Deka Abdinoor at the Lang'ata Cemetery in Nairobi.

At the scene, the suspect confessed to having killed the girl and dumped her body parts at different locations within the cemetery. Hashim says he brutally murdered Deka because she knew he had killed Warris Daud, Nusayba Abdi, and Amina Abdi.

According to him, this was the reason for the murder of the Great Lakes University student, who was his girlfriend.

Early this month, human body parts were found in the cemetery, and police said some body parts were still missing from the recovered bones. The missing parts were the ones being traced on Friday. The body parts still missing include parts of the hands and legs.

Upon conclusion of the search, police said they were unable to find the missing body parts. It is believed they were eaten by hyenas from the neighbouring Nairobi National Park.

Meanwhile, DNA samples were taken, and Deka’s family is awaiting the results.

Fresh details also emerge suggesting Hashim Dagane was a hired assassin who was paid millions of shillings to kill Warris Daud.

Police say the motive was a possible love triangle involving Warris and another woman. Investigators say Amina Abdi and Nusayba Abdi were killed as collateral.

Investigators are still tracing other persons of interest who are believed to have been part of the gang involved in the murders, with each reportedly paid more than Ksh.1 million.

The suspect is still in police custody until December 2, when he will be brought to court for further directions.

He faces murder charges for four people, who were killed in one of the most horrific manners ever witnessed in the country in recent times.
