Speaking at Narok Muslim Academy during a prize-giving ceremony for madrassa pupils on Saturday, Duale said that Matiang'i oversaw widespread abuse of power while serving in former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Cabinet.
He alleged that extrajudicial killings and misuse of authority occurred during Matiangi's tenure, saying the former CS should refrain from criticising President William Ruto’s government.
"Fred Matiangi is the face of impunity in Kenya. If anyone has committed impunity, Kenya is Fred Matiang'i. And he is the last person to critique the government of William Ruto," Duale alleged.
Duale warned opposition leaders against what he described as persistent criticism of the Kenya Kwanza administration, arguing that the government had delivered tangible development for Kenyans.
"The opposition keeps saying Ruto wantam, Ruto must go. Ruto has built the roads, 28 million Kenyans have registered for the Social Health Authority, and he has created a stable health care," he stated.
The Health CS also dismissed recent claims by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on the control of Nairobi’s economy, saying the city’s business sector is shared across communities.
He noted that a significant portion of businesses in the capital are run by the Somali community and warned against divisive political narratives.
“We will not allow opposition to taint the President or any community. Eastleigh contributes more than 40% to the economy of Kenya, and it belongs to Somali."
Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu, County Commissioner Kipkech Lotiata, and other leaders present at the event called for unity and peaceful coexistence among communities, urging residents to reject divisive politics and focus on development.
