The late Matungu Member of Parliament Justus Murunga is the biological father of one of his mistress’s two children, a DNA test has revealed. The test results, carried out by Crystal Lab Pathologists and seen by Citizen Digital, showed that Murunga and Agnes Wangui sired a three-year-old girl together. The paternity results signed by Dr. Mwangi and Dr. PM Maturi however excluded the late legislator from fathering the other child, a 7-year-old boy. Ms. Wangui on November 19, 2020 obtained a temporary injunction from a Nairobi court halting the burial of the late MP pending the hearing of her application. According to court papers, Ms Wangui had claimed that she sired two children with the first-time MP. Through lawyer Danstan Omari, she told the court that the MP’s family excluded her from the burial plans. She expressed concern that her children will be left out of their father’s estate and wanted the family to recognize her and the children for them to be allowed to attend the burial. MP Murunga was later buried on December 5, 2020.
