The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is asking the court to extend orders freezing pastor Ezekiel Odero’s bank accounts saying that investigations into the bank accounts are complex.

The initial days granted by the court to freeze the bank accounts of the embattled pastor lapsed on Sunday, however, the court extended them to Monday.

Now, the DCI wants seven more days to allow Safaricom comply with the orders of the court issued early this month.

The court has been told that investigations into pastor Ezekiel Odero bank accounts are not complete, with investigators blaming Safaricom for not complying with court directions.

The DCI, through the investigating officer now wants Safaricom to be summoned to appear in court to explain why they have not complied with court directions.

"The applicant cannot complete investigations inthe absence of information sought from the 6th respondent -Safaricom" court was told

Pastor Ezekiel Odero is being investigated over alleged money laundering and economic crimes.
