COP27: Civil Societies hold march to champion for Climate Justice

The Coastal City of Sharm El Sheikh Egypt on Saturday 12th November 2022, witnessed a huge march-dubbed Global March by Various Civil Society Organisations in the Horn of Africa.

The Marches began early Saturday in the southern streets of Mt.Sinai in Sharm El Sheikh and Convergence at the Blue Zone which is the Main Conference Zone.

Various Chants from Various Countries rented the Air with various organizations showcasing their best Action to Champion for Climate Justice.

Some protestors called on the international Communities to call off the Negotiations citing lack of confidence in the process.

"We are short-changed in our own Soil,it is not fair, these Negotiations now lack basis,get the rich out of these Negotiations," called out one protester.

"The rich have dominated all the talks,we are not Heard," Lamented Augustine Njamnishi, a demonstrator with Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA).

 The Expressions come days after reports from African Negotiators who expressed concerns on the Frustrations by Developed countries representatives in the Negotiation Tables.

The Global March is a Symbol of Unity by African Countries in expression of Oppression by the Climate change effects and Unity in Demanding the Developed countries which contributes 96% of Carbon emissions in the atmosphere compared to the 4% emissions by African continent that suffers most from the diverse effects of the Climate Crisis.
