Citizen Digital one of the most visited news websites in Kenya – MCK

Citizen Digital ranks among the top most viewed news websites in Kenya according to a report released by the Media Council of Kenya (MCK) on the State of Media in 2022 on Monday.

According to the report, Citizen Digital ranked second on the list with 22%, following Tuko which leads with 28%.

Nation Africa followed as the third most visited news website with 15%, Standardmedia (13%), Mpasho (6%), The Star (5%) and Kenyans (4%).

Others are Pulselive (3%), Ghafla (2%), Kenya Moja (1%) and The Elephant (0.3).

Meanwhile, Citizen TV ranked top on the most-watched stations list with 38% followed by NTV with (13%).

KTN Home ranked third at 12%, KBC (9%), Inooro TV (8%), K24 (5%), KTN News (4%), Ramogi TV (4%), Kameme TV (1%) and others at 6%.

The Royal Media Services (RMS) conglomerate was also ranked top as the most trusted media organisation with 62% followed by the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) at 13%, Standard Group (10%), Nation Media Group (6%), Radio Africa Group (5%) and MediaMax (4%).

The report was compiled following a survey conducted by Infotrak Research and Consulting Limited commissioned by MCK.
