Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei was on Wednesday kicked out of the Senate during the grilling of Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen.

The session’s video livestream shows Murkomen answering a question on the compensation of squatters when he pauses and then the speaker, Senator Abdulkadir Haji, calls for Cherargei to let the CS answer all the questions.

Cherargei is seen standing as Murkomen at this time.

Murkomen goes ahead to explain the status of the Tala-Oldonyo Sabuk Road construction but the speaker stops him.

“At this point, I will have to find you out of order,” Haji tells Cherargei, who is seen shouting at the speaker.

“This is not a funeral,” Haji says.

It is not clear what the Nandi senator is saying.

The speaker asks Cherargei to leave the House so that the session can continue; he tries to protest but is led away by Busia senator Okiya Omtatah, his Kakamega counterpart Boni Khalwale and two sergeants at arms.

Cherargei has recently been seen to stage an attack on Murkomen, to an extent of calling on President William Ruto to 'reign' on him.

On November 8, fired at Murkomen saying "He takes the mic and bullies, insults and demeans the people and elected leaders even in funerals! The appointing authority must reign in on these rogue cabinet Secretaries."
