Central Kenya MPs Decry Little Fund Allocations
The two said that counties in Central Kenya have been receiving little funds that cannot sustain development.
They said that despite the counties contributing to 67 per cent of the country’s GDP, they are receiving little funds from the national government.
The leaders urged that a balance be struck to ensure the counties receive an amount they deserve during allocations.
Waweru, at the same time, urged the government to consider offering subsidies to coffee and tea farmers in the area like is the case in other areas.
He further urged that the government to cushion coffee and tea farmers from fluctuating market prices.
