BBS Mall unveils largest Gold Souk in East and Central Africa

BBS Mall in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area has officially launched the largest Gold Souk in East and Central Africa, marking a major milestone for the region's gold trade and investment landscape.

The grand opening was presided over by Cabinet Secretary for Mining, Blue Economy, and Maritime Affairs, Hassan Joho, who praised the initiative as a game-changer.

Also in attendance were Kamukunji MP Yussuf Hassan, Eastleigh North MCA Ahmedkhadar Dabar, Wajir Women Representative Fatuma Jehow, Kenya Roads Board Chairman Ahmed Kolosh, BBS Mall Chairman, and CEO Munir Sheikh Ahmed, among other distinguished guests.

Speaking at the launch, CS Joho expressed his admiration for the state-of-the-art facility, remarking:

“I hear people say BBS Mall is the largest in East and Central Africa, but I believe this could be the largest in Africa. The Gold Souk will facilitate trade across the region, positioning Nairobi as a key business hub in East and Central Africa."
