'Adopt Kindiki's style of management,' Gachagua tells CSs, PSs

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has urged all Cabinet Secretaries and Principal Secretaries to adopt the management model of Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki.

In Gachagua's view, CS Kindiki has a commendable track record in administering his duties and government will achieve greater governance results if all leaders in the cabinet borrow notes from him.

"I want to commend our CSs especially our son Prof. Kindiki. Wewe ng'ang'ana na hawa watu usijali. We want to really say, ministers and PSs, adopt the Kindiki style of management that once you focus on what you want to do nothing can stop you," he said during a church service at the Sagana State lodge in Nyeri on Sunday.

"I am very impressed by the Kindiki style of management. If he decided he will go this way, even if there is a wall he will still pass."

The second in command went on to censure those accusing him and other Mt.Kenya leaders - Water and Irrigation CS Alice Wahome, MPs Kimani Ichung'wah (Kikuyu) and Ndindi Nyoro (Kiharu) - for being incompetent leaders in office.

Gachagua asserted that President William Ruto made a deliberate decision to onboard the leaders onto his Kenya Kwanza bandwagon and he is content with the positions they represent.

"People were accusing me, Ichungwah, Ndindi and Alice that we don't know what we are doing. That we were elected to government the other day and we don't know where we are taking Mt. Kenya, they are following Ruto blindly," he said.

"You thought we were stupid? We discussed with our president and we agreed on our participation in his government and that is why we have women and men of substance and he has also picked competent people so that we are represented in his government, we are shareholders in that government."
