9-year-old girl brutally murdered, eyes gouged out and leg cut off in Kajiado

According to the police reports, the minor had been brutally murdered and her body severely mutilated with her eyes gouged out, her right leg missing and her head skinned.

Loitoktok Police boss Shadrack Ruto said the child's parents filed a report regarding the missing child on January 4, 2022.

On Thursday evening, eight days after the girl went missing, the body of the minor was discovered stashed in a bag in Maili Tisa in Romboa in an acute state.

The police boss says the girl may have also been raped before she was murdered.

“After the parents reported, we launched investigations and sent news across the media but yesterday, the child's body was found by some people working on the farms having been brutally murdered," said Ruto.

"Mtoto alikua ametendewa unyama kabisa...macho yalikua yameng’olewa, mguu wa kulia umekatwa, ata sehemu za sirini kama zilikua zime tolewa na ngozi ya kichwa ata imengolewa...mambo ambayo si ya kibinadamu."

Police are probing the incident to establish whether the missing body parts may be used in rituals.

"Pengine huyo mtu alifanya hivyo ili kuficha kitu ambacho amefanyia huyo mtoto, haswa ubakaji," he added.

The body of the deceased has been taken to Loitoktok Hospital Morgue awaiting postmortem.
