19-year-old Nakuru 'serial killer' detained for 30 days
Homicide
detectives have been granted 30 days to continue detaining Ezekiel Mwangi Sakwa
as they finalize probe into killings reported at Olrongai, Nakuru County.
The
suspect was on Tuesday presented at Molo Law Courts where detectives sought
more time to piece together evidence linking the 19-year-old to killings of four
women.
Among
those allegedly killed by the suspect was a 4-year-old minor and three women
aged 15 to 35 years.
Police
are seeking answers on whether the suspect has killed other people apart from
the three.
Investigations
revealed the suspect targeted and killed his victims in the same manner and in
some instances sexually abused them.
Mwangi was arrested on Monday, in what police termed
“a significant breakthrough,” saying he “is believed to be the mastermind
behind several heinous crimes.”
