UK group NSG arrives in Kenya ahead of first concert in the country

NSG, a British Afro-swing band, has arrived in Kenya ahead of their much-anticipated show on December 12th, 2021.


The UK Rap Group from East London, consisting of Kruddz, OGD, Papii Abz, Dope, Mxjib, and Mojo is set to perform at the Pizza and Wine Festival that will be held at Ngong Race Corse. 


Following their Roots Africa Tour in December, the six-piece band announced that they would be performing in Kenya for the first time, as well as three other countries: Zambia, Nigeria, and Ghana, with more countries and dates to be added.




The 'Petite' hitmakers announced that tickets will not be available at the door and advised those who would rather not buy online to stay at home.


“Roots Africa tour see you guys. Zambia on the 10th and Kenya on the 12th. This is going to be a movie. And please! No tickets can be purchased on the door, so if you don’t have a ticket please kindly stay at home or you’ll be escorted out of the venue,” wrote NSG on their Instagram.


NSG is made up of three artists of Nigerian descent and three artists of Ghanaian descent.


In December 2013, the Afro-bashment band released their first single, "Whine and Kotch," and in 2015, they collaborated with English rapper J Hus.


In 2017, NSG dropped their debut mix tape ‘Grown Up’. In 2018, they released the single ‘Options’ featuring UK rapper Tion Wayne that reached the UK singles chart at number 7 and  in June 2020, NSG released their second mix tape dubbed ‘Roots’.


Award winning Kenyan boy band Sauti Sol also confirmed their festival dubbed Sol Fest, set to take place on the same day hosted at the Carnivore Grounds.
