Simon Leviev is being sued by the family of an Israeli diamond mogul for claiming to be a member of their family in the hit documentary 'The Tinder Swindler.'

According to a court document obtained by E News on Monday, February 28, the real Leviev family accused Simon Leviev, whose real name is Shimon Hayut, of impersonating a member of their family on 'Tinder' to woo women before defrauding them of thousands of dollars, leaving them in debt and desperate.

Plaintiffs in the lawsuit include Zevulun Leviev, Ayelet Leviev Jacobson, Ruthy Leviev Yelizerov, and Hagit Sofiev Leviev, as well as the company LLD Diamonds USA, LLC, according to E News.

In a statement to E News, Chagit Leviev, the daughter of Israeli diamond mogul Lev Leviev, said that the law suit will ensure that Shimon Hayut "faces justice and receives the sentence he deserves."

"Shimon Hayut is a fraud who stole our family's identity and has tried to exploit our good name to con victims out of millions of dollars," she said.

She went on to say, "He has no relation to the Leviev family and has no affiliation with our company LLD Diamonds."

She hoped that the multimillion-dollar lawsuit filed in Tel Aviv, Israel, would put an end to his illegal activities.

"I am relieved that his real identity and actions have been globally exposed, and hopefully this will bring an end to his unscrupulous actions."

Shimon Hayut "has been making false representations as being the son of Lev Leviev and receiving numerous benefits (including material ones)," according to the lawsuit, while posing as Simon Leviev.

It goes on to say that he "defrauded, cheated, conned, falsified, and hurt women, men and businesses."

He was also accused by the Diamond-mogul family of allegedly editing himself into a photo of family members Lev and Ayelet before using it to defraud women.

"He presented the ‘fixed' photo to women and men as proof of being a Leviev family member, thereby making a misrepresentation that he is a part of the family, and did so to generate personal profit and mislead the public."

Shimon Hayut allegedly defrauded women all over the world out of Ksh. 1.1 billion (10 million dollars), according to The Times of Israel.
