The drama between former TV journalist Jacque Maribe and comedian Eric Omondi seems far from over following fresh allegations made by the latter.

After Maribe accused Omondi of neglecting his fatherly duties for 7 years, the self-proclaimed President of Comedy in Africa has now come out guns blazing intimating that he is not even sure he is the baby’s actual father.

He said the two of them had intimate relations on only one night after having too many drinks at an office soiree, during a time which Maribe was in a relationship with another journalist.

Omondi however maintains that the two of them used protection that night, only for Maribe to tell him after two months that she was pregnant.

“So we met at Radio Africa in 2012. I was working at Radio Jambo and Jacque was working at Kiss TV. So one random night after a Radio Africa Staff Party and after a few bottles of whiskey and wine glasses Jacque and I happened,” he wrote on Instagram on Tuesday evening.

“It was really a one night thing because she was dating KTN's Sam Ogina at the time. We used protection!!! After two Months Jacque tells me she's Pregnant!!! I immediately ask her how since we used Protection? She then tells me "It doesn't matter the mother always knows who the Father is and that I am the Father!!! During the entire Pregnancy nothing happened and we barely saw each other.”

He added that four months after the baby was born, Maribe asked if he was going to step up to the responsibility but he asked for a DNA test first.

The comedian said his request rubbed Maribe the wrong way, and that she has turned down the request for a DNA test for the 7 years since then.

He said that he is ready to take responsibility and be a present figure in the child’s life, but only if a DNA test is conducted and it proves him to be the actual father.

“I asked her for a DNA test so that I could comfortably be part of the baby's life and support fully. She got very offended and refused my request. For 7 seven years I have begged Jacque to allow us have a DNA Test and she has continually refused,” he said.

“I don’t mind supporting the child but if you want me to be fully present and supportive, if you want me to be a father. Then we have to do the right thing!!!!

The back and forth started when Omondi took to Instagram on Monday to announce that he is soon going to be a father - a responsible one - to a child he was allegedly expecting with an upcoming musician.

The tickler claimed that he met the musician, Miss P, during an event that he was hosting in the country and that things went down from there.

"I met this Beautiful Woman 5 months ago in an event I was hosting," Omondi captioned on Instagram photo in which he was cradling a pregnant-looking Miss P.

Maribe was however not amused by the post and expressed her displeasure on the comments section, claiming that the comedian is an absent dad to their supposed child.

"Responsibility? @catewamaribe come I can't speak 😂😂😂 7 years of responsibility," Maribe wrote, apparently questioning the comedian's promise to his unborn child.

The comment attracted over 1225 likes within two hours, and over 283 replies, inadvertently starting off the troll-train.

[The post by Omondi claiming that he was expecting a baby with Miss P has since been debunked and proven as nothing but a publicity stunt.]

In early January, Maribe set the record straight on her relationship with the comedian, telling a local news outlet that their relationship is purely on parental basis and that she has no plans whatsoever of getting back together with him.

“Yes. To all the questions on call and my messages and DM's. Ati ‘are you back with Eric and are you upset with Eric?’ I do have a child with @ericomondi and we love him to the end of the world. We speak a lot, for hours,” she later wrote on the social media platform.
