DJ Crème, after reuniting with wife, now says he regrets 'marriage is a scam' remark
Kenyan DJ Crème de la Crème, who has now
re-united with his wife one year after their much publicized break up, has said
that he regrets referring to marriage as a scam.
The
DJ, speaking during an interview on Milele FM, said that he was emotional at
the time he made the remarks and ‘deeply regrets’ his outbursts.
“With
time I realized that I had done a big mistake, especially saying marriage is a
scam. I think I was just emotional and I deeply regret it because it has cost
me a lot of things,” he said.
According
to Crème, he especially did not want his kids to question him about his
statements on marriage.
“Can
you imagine my kids in future coming to show me a YouTube video saying Daddy
why did you say marriage is a scam?” he said.
Crème
also admitted that the family house was not the same without his wife and that
the're now living happily together.
“I
felt the house was empty without her and I am so glad my family is reunited. I
don’t want to talk much about it but in every relationship when you are at your
worst you will think your partner is the worst person,” he said.
“But time has a way of healing things. You go
back to your senses and realize that you cannot do without the other person.”
Crème
de la Crème had sometime in July last year taken to Instagram to allude to
problems in his marriage.
“Marriage
is a scam. Don’t let anybody lie to you!” he wrote, and later added another
post that read: “Imma Be Aight (sic)”
“I don’t
really want to talk about this but what I can tell you is that at the moment I
am alone. My wife took the kids so I’m living one day at a time. You know as a
man you just have to deal with life,” he added at the time.
