Diamond, Zuchu perform together amid separation claims

In an event by Zuchu in her hometown Zanzibar, Diamond made a calculated surprise appearance on stage, where together they performed their song Mtasubiri.

It was here that Diamond went down on his knees in front of Zuchu, and belted out his lines that sounded apologetic, with the veteran singer later on openly asking Zuchu for forgiveness for disrespecting their relationship.

A tearful Zuchu accepted the apology amidst cheers from their fans, with Diamond promising to do better.

Their performance came days after Zuchu took to social to write that she has broken up with Diamond in what she feels is lack of commitment and respect for the relationship. 

Zuchu said she would rather be alone than have issues with other people. Her sentiments came after Diamond shared a clip of him holding hands with his baby mama and former lover Zari Hassan. 

Diamond later on explained that they were shooting a Netflix documentary when they decided to share the clip. 

He denied going back to Zari, saying they are amicably co-parenting.
