Benga queen Princess Jully dies at a Migori hospital

Popular Luo Benga musician Lilian Auma Aoka, commonly known as Princess Jully, has passed on after a long illness.

According to close family members, the veteran singer had been on and off hospital for close to 9 weeks prior to her demise.

Princess Jully died on Saturday evening while receiving treatment at the Migori County Referral Hospital.

She will be greatly remembered for various hit songs such as ‘Dunia mbaya,’ among others.

Her son Ogudah Bradley has since taken to social media platform to mourn her death, writing in Facebook: “Mamana (my mother) Princess Jully is no more. It’s unbearably hard for me.
