Popular Kikuyu singer Samuel Muchoki popularly known as Samidoh says he has never had a concert-free weekend since launching his music career in 2016.

Samidoh, while speaking on Facebook Watch show The Disruption, Thursday, said he got his big break from music as soon as he released his first solo project “Ndiri Mutwe Mwega”.

He went on to say that thanks to his successful music career, he has been fully booked for shows every weekend since December 2016.

“The very first song I did in December 2016, gave me a breakthrough in the music industry, because since then, I haven’t had a free weekend, I have been fully booked,” said Samidoh.

The Mugiithi artist, who began his music career as a backup vocalist for Kamiti Boy Band, has had five consecutive successful years in music.

He links his success to divine intervention and the fact that Mugiithi music cuts across both the young and old generations.

“I began as a backup vocalist with Kamiti boys’ band and began as a solo artist in 2016. This is my fifth year as a solo artist,” Samidoh added.

“Success in the music industry does not rely only on you, there are other outer forces that guide success in the industry, one, trusting in God, you will need a divine force to guide you through, number two, the community I come from, people tend to listen more to music that cuts across from the younger generation to the old.”

The musician concluded his USA tour sometime in December 2021 after spending two months across eleven States.
