Petrol down by Ksh.1.95, diesel Ksh.2.20 in latest EPRA review

Super petrol, diesel and kerosene prices
went down by Ksh.1.95, Ksh.2.20 and Ksh.2.40 per litre, respectively, in the
latest Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) review announced on
Monday.
The new prices taking effect April 15
through May 14 will see a litre of super petrol go for Ksh.174.63 in Nairobi, while diesel
will sell at Ksh.164.86.
Kerosene will meanwhile cost Ksh.148.99 a
litre in the capital.
In Mombasa, the cost is Ksh.171.39, Ksh.161.62
and Ksh.145.75 for super petrol, diesel and kerosene, respectively.
At the same time, customers in Kisumu will
buy a litre of super petrol at Ksh.174.67, diesel at Ksh.165.24 and kerosene at
Ksh.149.42.
“The average landed cost of imported super
petrol decreased by 4.89% from US$637.22 per cubic metre in February 2025 to
US$606.06 per cubic metre in March 2025; diesel decreased by 6.45% from
US$680.63 per cubic metre to US$636.75 per cubic metre while kerosene decreased
by 6.53% from US$672.14 per cubic metre to US$628.22 per cubic metre over the
same period,” EPRA Director-General Daniel Bargoria said.
