Marketing Society of Kenya celebrates 60 years of partnerships
The Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK)
celebrated its 60 years of partnering with marketers on Thursday at a Nairobi
hotel.
In an event attended by top
business managers, MSK Chairman Charles Kariuki said a series of events are
lined up to build the marketing industry and support businesses.
“We are set to host a series of
exciting events this year. I thank MSK Board and the secretariat for their
tireless efforts in driving the agenda of the society,” Kariuki noted.
Chris Diaz, Bidco Group Director,
congratulated MSK for the milestone and encouraged more young leaders to take
up important revenue-generating careers and start up new entrepreneurship.
“I congratulate MSK for 60 years
and mine is to encourage young leaders to grab this vital revenue generating
career and start up new entrepreneurship using technology and support from the
senior marketers and business leaders,” stated Diaz, who also once chaired CIM
Kenya.
“African continental trade agreements are a new
marketing opportunity that needs be tapped and jobs across Africa to increase
exports and imports to grow trade.”
He added: “I welcome the new
entry of DRC into the EAC markets and I thank chairman President Uhuru Kenyatta
and Presidents of the member states to grow the market from 160 million people
to over 259 million market to offer excellent investments and trade growth in
Africa.”
Nairobi County Woman
Representative Esther Passaris also attended the event and stated how marketing
will help the country.
"It is the marketing sector
that will help our country maintain peace and prosperity during this political
season,” said Passaris.
