KO cider maker African Originals joins BAHLITA

Kenyan craft beverage producer African Originals, the maker of the popular ‘Kenyan Originals’ range of ciders, gins, and iced teas, has joined the Bar, Hotel, and Liquor Traders Association (BAHLITA).

The company said on Wednesday this is part of its efforts to foster industry partnerships.

“This partnership comes at a pivotal time as we aim to leverage BAHLITA's extensive network to drive engagement of our members and advance collaborative opportunities within the industry,” African Originals' Commercial Director Kelvin Kuria said.

He noted that the beverage company’s partnership with BAHLITA will create a platform for addressing common industry challenges, influencing policy formulation, and promoting best practices across the sector.

African Originals seeks to contribute actively to the development of a favourable business environment.

BAHLITA was founded in 2002 and has 54,000 members in 42 counties across Kenya.

The association seeks to empower stakeholders and shape policies that promote fairness and transparency in the liquor industry.
