Young climate champions crowned at Little Miss & Miss Environment Kenya finals
Contestants from Nairobi and Kiambu counties demonstrated confidence, creativity, and a strong understanding of sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Little Miss and Miss Environment Kenya successfully hosted the Nairobi and Kiambu County Finals on December 6, 2025 at Tree of Life, Westlands, bringing together 21 outstanding young contestants in a vibrant, green, and serene environment that perfectly reflected the event’s environmental mission.
The colorful event
reaffirmed the pageant’s position as Kenya’s leading children’s pageant with
purpose, highlighting the critical role children play in climate action,
environmental advocacy, and resilience-building.
Contestants from
Nairobi and Kiambu Counties demonstrated confidence, creativity, and a strong
understanding of sustainability and environmental responsibility.
The event was
graced by Miss Earth Kenya, alongside other dignitaries and environmental
advocates, further emphasizing the importance of nurturing young leaders within
the climate action space.
Speaking during
the event, Franchise Director Miss Joan Musumba congratulated parents for their
support and commitment to raising environmentally conscious children.
“Climate change is
our present reality. By empowering children to participate in climate action
and advocacy today, we are nurturing a resilient generation that understands
sustainability. Our children are our future, and they will outlive us—so we
must equip them now,” she stated.
She further
emphasized the urgency of involving children in climate mitigation and
adaptation efforts, aligning with global climate priorities that recognize
children and youth as key drivers of change.
Some of the
winners for the Nairobi and Kiambu County Finals include Zahra Wanjiku (Little
Miss Environment Nairobi 1st Runner-Up & Public Choice Award), Ainsley
Muthoni Gitonga (Grand Miss Environment Nairobi),
Amari Wangui (Tiny
Miss Environment Kenya Nairobi & Miss Congeniality),
Melissa Amanda
(Little Miss Environment Nairobi 2nd Runner-up) and Paul Osteen Kaguora (Grand
Mister Environment Nairobi).
Others were Ivyne
Chomba Sopia (Pre-Teen Miss Environment Kiambu & Best Environmental Project
Award), Nayla Taji (Teen Miss Environment), Kelsy Wanjiru (Grand Miss
Environment Kiambu), Carissa Wahinya Nganga (Finalist) and Thandiwe Marie
Karanja (Little Miss Environment Nairobi County).
