Woman stabs another to death in dispute over market stall

The incident happened at Shauriyako estate, where the deceased was putting up a makeshift stall. 

According to a police report, the two women disagreed over the stall, which was being constructed by the deceased.

Police say the suspect, Jane Adhiambo Okeyo, who runs a hotel in the estate, had issues with the deceased, identified as Silvia, for constructing a stall adjacent to her hotel.

Police say as a result, the duo engaged in an exchange of words before Jane took a knife and stabbed Sylvia.

She was rushed to St. Vincent Hospital, but succumbed to her injuries while the suspect was arrested and is booked at Muhoroni police post.
