Woman rescued from mob justice after being caught stealing in Machakos

A middle-aged woman was Thursday morning rescued from being lynched by a mob in the Ngonda area of Matungulu Sub-county in Machakos County after she was caught stealing vegetables from a local farm.
Dennis Mutiso, one of the residents, intervened to save the woman from the angry mob that was demanding her punishment after she was found plucking sukuma wiki and had gathered two sacks.
According to Jane Kimeu, the farm owner, she discovered the woman in the field and began wailing for help.
Dennis Mutiso, an eyewitness, stated that he felt compelled to rescue the woman from the mob and quickly took her to the Tala Police Station for her safety.
