Who Wins NBA Finals Game 6 as Warriors face Cavaliers?

With the Golden State Warriors ahead on a 3-2 lead in the Championship series, a win in game 6 would see them take the first NBA title home to Oakland since 1975. The game could also be a determiner of who gets the Most Valuable Player title between LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Warriors’ Stephen Curry.

This is especially after Curry displayed incredible shot making skills during game 5 which made him a probable taker for the MVP award this season. Due to his, the Golden State Warriors are on the brink of ending a 40-year title drought.

It was only a matter of time before Stephen Curry found a way to assert himself on the offensive end, and the roaring fans of Oracle Arena couldn’t have been more thrilled to see it come in the form of a 37-point, seven-rebound performance as the Warriors took a lead in the series.

Curry fashioned his best act in the NBA Finals on Sunday, scoring 37 points to power the Warriors over the Cavaliers 104-91 as Golden State seized a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven championship series.

However LeBron James is still a strong contender for this season’s MVP title regardless of the outcome of the championship series. He is in good standing to win the MVP title even in the event his Cavaliers are unable to win this series. In this scenario he would be the second player to earn a Finals MVP award after a Final’s loss as Jerry West won with second placed LA Lakers in 1969.

This has perhaps been an even better championship series than anticipated. Seemingly the Warriors have found some footing just as the Cavaliers appear to have probably hit an iceberg. The Warriors will have to be cautions of LeBron but they’ll find a way and should be taking the title home.
