Joyce Nduta has not rested ever since her five-year-old son Luther Mwangi went missing.
“I think about him every minute of my life. The thought follows me like a tail, my heart constantly filled with fear and uncertainty,” says Nduta.
Young Mwangi was last seen on April 15, 2026, near a Baptist church in Dandora Phase 4, Nairobi.
The boy has never been seen since that time. According to the family, Mwangi was wearing yellow T-shirt and black trousers on that fateful day.
Since then, Joyce has tirelessly searched for her son, visiting different locations, sharing missing-person posters, and appealing to the public for help.
The situation is particularly concerning because Luther is reported to have autism, making him especially vulnerable while away from the safety and care of his family.
His disappearance has caused immense emotional distress to his mother and relatives, who continue to wait anxiously for any news about his whereabouts.
Nduta reported the case to the Dandora police station, and has continued to work closely with authorities and community members in the search efforts.
Nduta has also used social media platforms to spread awareness and encourage anyone with information to come forward.
The case has drawn attention from residents and child welfare advocates, highlighting the importance of community vigilance in protecting children. Friends, neighbours, and well-wishers have joined the search and offered support to the grieving family.
As the search continues, Nduta remains hopeful that her son will be found safe and reunited with his loved ones. She continues to urge anyone with information about Luther Mwangi to contact the nearest police station immediately.
