Popular messaging service Whatsapp stopped working for the better part of Friday morning with users in Kenya and the larger part of East Africa experiencing delays in sending messages.
According to DownDetector, similar problems were also experienced across the globe with users in India, Singapore, Mozambique, Vietnam, and Iraq reporting that they could not access the service.
People have since reverted to normal messaging services and Facebook following the hitch.
