Wazito retain top spot on day of NSL draws

A barren stalemate between the National Super League (NSL) leading teams – Wazito FC and Ushuru FC – highlighted a match-day of draws for the country’s second-tier division.

A total seven draws were recorded on Round 24 of the NSL with Wazito closing remaining top while only three fixtures producing a winner.

Nairobi Stima’s barren draw against Kenya Police at the Karuturi Grounds took their total point tally to 49, same to second placed Ushuru who have a goal difference advantage and two adrift of league leaders Wazito.

Kisumu All Stars and Kenya Police seal the top 5 spots with 47 and 44  points respectively.

On the winning side, Brian Juma and Anthony Gichugu netted a goal each to hand FC Talanta the biggest victory , a 2-0 win over Modern Coast Rangers to join the winners bandwagon alongside Eldoret Youth and Thika United who won 2-1 and 1-o against Migori Youth and Green Commandos respectively.
