Young Kenyan digital and marketing firm Wave 360 Africa has been recognised for its contribution to the country’s creative and digital economy during the Nairobi International Trade Fair.
The recognition came as the annual trade fair, which brings
together exhibitors from sectors including agriculture, manufacturing,
technology, education and business, entered its final days at the Jamhuri
Showground.
Agriculture and Livestock Development Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, who officially opened the fair on September 30, praised the
company’s use of creativity and technology to build brands and engage
audiences.
“What Wave 360 Africa is doing is a good example of how
young Kenyan companies can use creativity, technology and a deep understanding
of our people to build brands that connect. We must continue supporting such
enterprises because they are creating opportunities, shaping conversations and
showing what Kenyan talent can deliver,” Kagwe said.
Founded in 2022, Wave 360 Africa offers services spanning
strategy, creative development, digital and social media, activations,
production, events and media.
The firm says its approach is centred on understanding its
audiences and communicating with them in a language they can relate to, with
its work cutting across sectors including government, healthcare, financial
services, telecommunications, fast-moving consumer goods, technology,
agriculture and development.
Its portfolio includes public health campaigns, youth
programmes, digital storytelling and experiential marketing initiatives.
Wave 360 Africa CEO Zedekiah Mukoya said the recognition
reflected the efforts of the company's team and its approach to developing
campaigns around audience needs.
“We are grateful for the recognition because it speaks to
the work of our entire team. Our philosophy has always been simple: understand
the people first, then build brands that speak to them in a language they
understand. Kenya has incredible creative talent and our responsibility is to
keep creating work that delivers real value to brands, institutions and
communities,” Mukoya said.
The firm also received attention at the previous Nairobi
International Trade Fair after President William Ruto visited its stand, where
he picked a Pepsi soda and drank it while interacting with the team.
The experiential activation was later recognised with a
trophy.
Wave 360 Africa has also expanded beyond Kenya, entering the
Ugandan market in April 2025 as it seeks to grow its regional footprint.
The Nairobi International Trade Fair runs from September 28
to October 4.
