KCB RFC blend of youth and experienced players plus speed will
prove to a hard nut to crack for defending champions Kabras RFC this weekend, according
to Kibabii University rugby head coach Peter Wamoto.
The two sides head to this weekend Kenya cup final at the ASK
show ground in Kakamega and Wamoto believes the rebuild KCB will give the hosts
run for their money.
“KCB is a much stronger side than Kabras this season they did
some very good recruitment from top teams during the transfer season and the
team has a good blend of young and experienced players that will be crucial in
the final," said Wamoto
Wamoto went on to praise KCB lethal forwards saying
that department could prove to be the difference in the game.
“KCB forwards are very lethal and when comes to 15s the forwards
are the one to determine the outcome of the game so that is where their strength
will be at,” added Wamoto.
Kabras having won it threes in a row are having a home advantage
having topped the Kenya cup regular season something the veteran tactician says
could help push the team.
“Kabras have the home advantage that keeps them going
but it's important to remember that KCB have the most number of players in the
national sevens team and have in the recent times played some high level rugby
so that is something they need to take note,” stated the head coach.
