Kenya’s top women’s volleyball clubs have discovered their
opponents for the 2026 African Women’s Club Volleyball Championship following
the official draw held on in Cairo, Egypt.
The tournament, which runs from April 11 to 24, brings
together 24 elite teams across the continent, all battling for continental
glory and a coveted ticket to the FIVB Club World Championship.
Record contenders Kenya Pipeline Volleyball Club headline
Group ‘B’, where they will face DR Congo’s La Loi, Senegal’s Sococim, Ghana’s
Kalibi SC, and Burundi’s Gender Light.
Meanwhile, debutants DCI Queens have been drawn into a
challenging but balanced Group ‘C’. They will take on Tunisia’s formidable CF
Carthage, Nigeria Customs Service, Uganda’s KCCA, and DR Congo’s Eagles of
Congo. The group presents a stern test for the newcomers, particularly against
the experienced North African giants.
In Group D, KCB Volleyball Club will face Cameroon’s Litto,
Nigeria’s Vipers and Partners, and Seychelles’ ARSU Ladies. As top seeds, KCB
are widely expected to progress, with confidence high within the camp.
Technical Director Paul Bitok has backed the team’s discipline and preparation
to deliver results.
Kenyan teams head into the tournament with a point to prove,
aiming to reclaim the continental title last won by KCB in 2022. With Pipeline
seeking their first crown since 2005 and DCI eager to impress on debut, the
stakes could not be higher.
Beyond continental pride, the ultimate prize remains global
recognition, as Africa’s best earns the chance to compete on the world stage.
