A 63-year-old man is recuperating at Nairobi’s Mater Hospital after a lion that strayed from the Nairobi National Park attacked him along the streets of Embakasi Estate.

Panic gripped most city dwellers when for the second time in less than a month a lion escaped from the National Park and freely roamed the busy city streets.

Just what prompted the big cats to escape from their natural habitats to the hustle and bustle of the busy city streets?
