Veteran politician Kenneth Matiba dies in hospital

Veteran politician Kenneth Matiba is dead.
Mr. Matiba succumbed to a long illness on Sunday evening at the Karen Hospital in Nairobi.
He had been admitted at the hospital for the last three weeks.
Matiba will be remembered as a ‘second liberation hero’ having been at the forefront in the fight for multi-party democracy in Kenya.
He died at 85.
President Uhuru Kenyatta was among the leaders who arrived at the Karen Hospital immediately Matiba was pronounced dead at around 6pm.
