USIU-Africa Alumni Association gets new board

The USIU-Africa
Alumni Association’s new board was sworn in to office on Wednesday, in a
ceremony held at Vice Chancellor Prof. Margee Ensign’s office.
The new board, led by
Chairman James Gathere, is set to serve the 25,000-member association for a
term that runs until June 2024.
The VC used the occasion
to interact with the team and the new board shared their strategic plan.
On her part, Prof.
Ensign highlighted areas of synergy between the university and the new board.
The incoming board
pointed out that USIU-Africa alumni are an important part of the institution’s
heritage, besides being outstanding and positively contributing to change in
societies around the world.
Board Chair Mr.
Gathere thanked the school for the support given to the alumni association,
saying he is proud of the milestones the school has taken since its inception.
“USIU has always been
at the forefront of innovation and preparing future industry leaders with the
right tools to address the issues that affect each generation that has passed through
the institution,” he stated.
