Two suspects arrested in possession of bhang worth Ksh.42M

Bhang valued at Ksh.4.2 million has been seized in Kilifi County after two suspects were found in possession of the illegal drug.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said that detectives conducting an anti-narcotics crackdown found the stash inside a house in Kisumu Ndogo, leading to the arrest of Eisha Mzungu Kalama and her accomplice, Jamal Chilumo Chiraga.
During the operation, detectives found two and a half sacks of cannabis sativa wrapped in brown khaki paper, weighing 142 kilograms, ready for distribution.
The suspects were immediately escorted to Kilifi Police Station together with the recovered narcotics, where they are undergoing processing ahead of their arraignment.
Meanwhile the seized contraband is being held as exhibit while investigations continue into the suspected trafficking network.
