In a statement on Sunday, the NPS said that expeditious reviews of the CCTV footages are ongoing as two suspects remain in police custody.
Meanwhile, members of the public have been urged to provide any information that may aid investigators in piecing the ordeal together by reporting to the nearest police station.
"This incident will be investigated thoroughly, professionally, transparently, and impartially to ensure that all those involved are brought to justice. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses," the NPS said.
This comes amid heightened condemnation over the incident as the National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) has called the Inspector General of Police to ensure that the suspects are arrested and prosecuted.
During the invasion, as seen on CCTV footage, the chaos began at the church's entrance, where goons engaged in a confrontation with security guards as they forced their way into the church grounds and unleashed terror.
The attackers moved past the church building to the conference section, where a post-budget conference was taking place.
At 9:39 a.m., motorbikes carrying between two and three men forced their way into their premise, their faces and motorcycle registration plates could be clearly seen.
Within five minutes, police officers moved in and managed to repel the group outside Valley Road at around 9:44 a.m.
Even as they fled, the gang allegedly turned on pedestrians along Kenyatta Avenue, robbing some of them in broad daylight as they headed toward Valley Road.
Barely 30 minutes later, at 10:11 a.m., the attackers returned, this time abandoning their motorcycles and entering the church compound on foot.
Security cameras captured the men walking into the premises before proceeding toward the conference area where a post-budget forum was underway.
Five men were later seen on the second floor allegedly robbing participants inside the lobby.
One victim was overpowered and robbed while attempting to flee to the third floor. Another participant was cornered as police officers scrambled to intervene.
The group then began chanting slogans and disrupting the meeting, forcing activities to stop temporarily. Outside the church compound, a gunshot was fired in an apparent attempt to disperse the invaders.
