The family of Jackson Tito, a 14-year-old boy from Dandora who was seen struggling to care for his four siblings, has been given a new home.
The family received the keys to a three‑bedroom affordable housing unit in Machakos, given by President William Ruto.
Tito’s story went viral after he was left to care for his four younger siblings.
Nominated Senator Tabitha Mutinda said President William Ruto purchased the house, valued at Ksh. 3 million.
His mother, Ruth Maleve, described the moment as a transformation from poverty to dignity.
The family’s new home is part of the government’s affordable housing project in Machakos.
Tito’s siblings were enrolled to St. Mary’s Boys School, where Principal Angelline Nzioki pledged to provide them with a supportive learning environment.
